Training

This page will have information on my training regimen.

Current February training schedule is as follows:

Gym:
M-F - 0600-0700
Sat or Sun - Hike minimum of 5 miles
Hiking includes wearing a backpack with at least 15 lbs of weight.

March:
M-F - 0600-0700
Sat or Sun - Hike minimum of 7 miles
Hiking includes wearing a backpack with at least 15 lbs of weight.

April:
M-F - 0600-0700
Sat or Sun - Hike minimum of 10 miles
Hiking includes wearing a backpack with at least 20 lbs of weight.

May:
M-F - 0600-0700
Sat or Sun - Hike minimum of 12 miles
Hiking includes wearing a backpack with at least 20 lbs of weight.

June:
M-F - 0600-0700
2 weekend trips: Hike minimum of 14 miles
Hiking includes wearing a backpack with at least 25 lbs of weight.

July:
M-F - 0600-0700
2 weekend trips: Hike minimum of 15 miles
Hiking includes wearing a backpack with at least 30 lbs of weight.

August:
M-F - 0600-0700
2 weekend trips: Hike minimum of 18 miles
Hiking includes wearing a backpack with at least 30 lbs of weight.

September:
M-F - 0600-0700
2 weekend trips: Hike minimum of 20 miles
Hiking includes wearing a backpack with at least 35 lbs of weight.

October:
M-F - 0600-0700
Sat or Sun - Hike minimum of 10 miles

Week before Mt. Whitney trip - rest and prepare for trip.
